Found this hotel to be good value for money and food was excellant. The staff were very helpful to me and also has a nice little pool bar. I usually stay in another area, but I've decide to give this place a try. It is just OK, nothing too good, nothing too bad.
If you go for shopping, this area is not for you, it is difficult to buy even a bottle of water out of the hotels. You will need a car for everything, consider this. I didn't like the terrible smell of cigarette in my room and the noisy AC running non-stop. Again, don't expect too much but you can have a decent short stay. I had gone for a weekend stay at the Pars International Hotel, which is located in Juffair, quiet apt for a short stay.
At the Pars they have a variety of clubs, Zlounge is good, Latin club which has pretty decent meals too, I tried the colombian fried rice which was nice, they also had latino band and dancers which were nice. Boomers bar with a good filipino band playing good music. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly, the receptionist were very helpful.
