Renovated pedestrian zone. Everything there is very expensive. Night time haunt of prostitutes and gypsies. Vitosha boulevard is one of the main streets in Sofia. Intresting thing about the boulevard is that it"s closed for cars in some parts of the day, corectly through the day and i think at night cars can go through.
It"s a big boulevard with many stores and it is a very lively place, can be crowdly. Heart of the city. This is a very well known boulevard in Sofia. Now it is in some reconstructions but in one or two months it will be more beautiful.
It deserves a good walk! There are some coffees, pizzas, ice-cream shops with a good quality Italian ice-cream. It's a good place also for shopping. There is one of my favorite book stores: Greenwich with an amazing coffee with a good tea selection. I love it! A good walk to stroll around Sofia.
Pity that at the moment there is construction going on. Plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. Full of people and bars to sit outside. I've heard reports of bags, purse theft, particularly in a well known burger place. The main attraction of Vitosha is that it's a pedestrian-only street, so you can stroll down the middle without worrying about cars.
Unfortunately there's not a lot worth seeing while you walk, as it's mostly chain stores and fast food. It lacks the charm of Plovdiv's pedestrian street, and even some of the regular streets in the immediate area. Tsar Shishman, about five minutes away, also has a lot more interesting shops.
