The owner Mr Ananda went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay and a lovely time in Kandy and the cultural triangle. All the meals we had at the homestay were delicious, and all the facilities are excellent.
Although the property is a little bit out of the centre Kandy 10 min by Tuk Tuk - around rupees , the amazing views from the property the forest, Kandy and even the occasional monkey! Hanthana Holiday Rooms was our first stop in Sri Lanka and the warm welcome and hospitality of Mr Ananda and his family set us up for a wonderful trip - we had a lovely time and would highly recommend anyone travelling to Kandy stay here!
I stayed in the Hanthana for 2 nights with my friends. And that was the best place during our Sirilankan trip. The Owner Mr. Ananta and his family were so nice, friendly smiling. And we met other guests from Slovakia, France and Korean. The experience was awesome in Hathana Holiday Room. We all miss there and will go back once I have chance.
Hope can see Mr. Silver there hahahaha again. We spent a night at HHR and had a great, comfortable and pleasant stay at this nice property. The owners were very nice and hospitable. The upstairs room had great all round views of the valley. We woke up to the sound of birds. Good value for money. Highly recommended. We stayed here over Sri Lankan New Year and our hosts were so welcoming. They shared their traditional New Year food with us and spent time talking about Sri Lankan celebrations.
